We all can agree that men are the most difficult to buy for, which is why thinking of a wedding or anniversary gift can be difficult. Some personalized cufflinks… “meh”. Another tie… “double meh”. How about a boudoir photoshoot?… YES! The alluring photographs of a boudoir photoshoot is both romantic and intimate, the perfect way to surprise your partner.
What is Boudoir?
Boudoir is a type of photography that features romantic and intimate photos usually in a bedroom or other private, special setting. Many women choose to gift their partner with boudoir photographs of themselves as a surprise wedding or anniversary gift. Sometimes brides even choose to do a mini boudoir shoot while getting ready for the wedding, capturing the beauty of the moment before walking down the aisle.
History of Boudoir
Boudoir photography has been around for centuries. Most people are familiar with the pin up girl, which is what has influenced the modern day form of boudoir. Beginning is the 1980’s women chose to do boudoir photo shoots as a symbol of their femininity and characterization of female empowerment. Today, boudoir is a common form of photography that symbolizes romance and re-affirms a lifelong commitment of love between partners.
How I work
Boudoir photography can range in styles – which is why I work with you to decide what type of mood you want to portray in your photo shoot. The great thing about boudoir is that you are able to make it entirely your own. You can wear a little black dress, intimate lingerie, a men’s button down, or throw caution to the wind and go completely undressed.
The anticipation of a wedding is exciting oftentimes nerve wrecking; so my aim is to make you feel comfortable and to capture the most stunning photographs to gift to your groom.
